About
Writing has been a quiet passion in Lee’s life that was never to fade, which was increased after receiving a cancer diagnosis. Being consigned to spending a few years on renal dialysis, awaiting a kidney transplant, Lee found great solace in writing poems, short stories and making music.
Lee has been writing verse and rhymes for decades, making passive observations and social commentaries of a world unfolding around him. These treasures were stashed in folders, cabinets and drawers rarely ever to see the light of day. Until recently when he was encouraged to bring his work to the fore.
Lee is a proud member of the Cambridge Black Creatives; a unique arts group that provides a transformational space for art making and honest discussion on racial issues, focussing on the collective as well as uplifting each individual.
